Biblyx — Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Biblyx ("the app", "we", "us") is built and operated by an individual developer (not a legal entity), based in Azerbaijan. This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the app, including international and European Union users, and explains what data is collected, how it is used, who it may be shared with, and your rights.

2. Data Controller

All privacy-related requests, including the rights listed below, should be sent only to this address.

3. Data We Collect

• Account data: via Supabase Auth, your email (if you signed up with email/password or Google) and a unique user ID. For anonymous use, only an anonymous device session identifier is stored.
• Cloud Sync data (only if you sign in): your app settings, WordLab (your saved words), metadata about content you import (title, author, reading progress), bookmarks and highlights. The imported file itself is never sent off your device — it stays local.
• AI translation data: the word/sentence/paragraph text you translate is sent to OpenAI through a secure server function (Supabase Edge Function) to produce a translation/analysis result. This text is processed under OpenAI's applicable data-processing policies and is not permanently stored by us. Biblyx does not use this text to train AI models.
• Usage statistics (Firebase Analytics): anonymous counts and categories of which features are used. Titles of imported content, looked-up words, or personal text are never sent to analytics. Depending on platform and settings, Firebase may automatically collect some additional technical interaction and diagnostic data.
• Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics): if the app crashes unexpectedly, technical diagnostic data is sent automatically so we can find and fix issues.
• Abuse-prevention identifier: to prevent abuse of the daily free AI quota (e.g. signing out to obtain a new free quota), a device-generated identifier is processed together with a daily usage counter, solely for abuse and quota-fraud prevention. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or tracking, and is not linked to your personal profile.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (for European Union users)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, our processing of your data relies on the following legal bases:

• Consent — when you create an account and use the AI translation feature;
• Performance of a contract — to provide Cloud Sync and account features;
• Legitimate interest — for app security, error detection, and anonymous usage statistics.

You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 8, Your Rights).

5. Third Parties and International Transfers

The app uses the following service providers. Each processes data under its own Privacy Policy, and your data may be stored on servers located outside Azerbaijan/the EU (e.g. the United States):

• Supabase — database, authentication, and cloud sync. supabase.com/privacy
• OpenAI — AI-based processing of translation/analysis requests. openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
• Firebase / Google — analytics, crash reporting, and Google Sign-In. policies.google.com/privacy

We do not directly control these third parties' data-handling practices; we recommend reviewing their policies.

6. Local-First Principle

Files you import (PDF, EPUB, TXT, and other supported formats) are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. Only metadata about that content (title, reading progress, etc.) is synced — never the content itself.

Biblyx is only a software tool that lets users manage and read content they import; it does not provide, distribute, license, or verify that content.

7. Data Retention

Your account data is kept for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all account and sync data is deleted immediately and permanently (in-app: Account → Delete my account). The daily abuse-prevention counter (Section 3) is recorded separately per calendar date, is not linked to your personal profile, and is not accumulated into a long-term usage history tied to your identity.

8. Your Rights

Whether you live in Azerbaijan or in the European Union (GDPR), you have the following rights:

• The right to access your data
• The right to correct inaccurate data
• The right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — available instantly in-app via Account → Delete my account, or by requesting it at support@biblyx.com
• The right to data portability (export)
• The right to withdraw consent at any time
• The right to object to processing

To exercise these rights: support@biblyx.com. EU residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with their national data protection supervisory authority.

9. Children's Privacy

This app is not intended for children under 13 (US, COPPA) or under the higher minimum digital consent age that applies in your country (up to 16 in some European countries), and we do not knowingly collect data from such individuals.

10. Security

We apply industry-standard technical measures (encrypted transmission, authentication) to protect your data, but no system transmitted over the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure.

11. Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. You will be notified in-app of significant changes.

Biblyx — Məxfilik Siyasəti

1. Giriş

Biblyx ("tətbiq", "biz", "bizim") Azərbaycanda fəaliyyət göstərən müstəqil developer tərəfindən hazırlanır və idarə olunur. Bu Məxfilik Siyasəti tətbiqi yükləyib istifadə edən bütün istifadəçilərə, o cümlədən beynəlxalq və Avropa İttifaqı sakinlərinə şamil olunur.

3. Topladığımız Məlumatlar

• Hesab məlumatları: Supabase Auth vasitəsilə email və unikal istifadəçi ID-si. Anonim istifadə zamanı yalnız anonim cihaz sessiya identifikatoru saxlanılır.
• Cloud Sync məlumatları (yalnız hesaba giriş etsəniz): ayarlar, WordLab, idxal etdiyiniz materiallara aid metadata, əlfəcinlər, vurğulamalar. İdxal etdiyiniz faylın özü heç vaxt cihazınızdan kənara ötürülmür.
• AI tərcümə məlumatları: tərcümə etdiyiniz mətn Supabase Edge Function vasitəsilə OpenAI-ə göndərilir. Bu mətn OpenAI-nin məlumatların emalına dair öz siyasətinə uyğun işlənir, bizim tərəfimizdən daimi saxlanılmır və süni intellekt modellərini öyrətmək üçün istifadə edilmir.
• İstifadə statistikası (Firebase Analytics): anonim say/kateqoriya məlumatları, materialların adları/mətnlər heç vaxt göndərilmir. Platformadan asılı olaraq Firebase əlavə texniki istifadə və diaqnostika məlumatlarını da avtomatik toplaya bilər.
• Xəta hesabatları (Firebase Crashlytics).
• Sui-istifadədən qorunma identifikatoru: gündəlik pulsuz AI limitinin sui-istifadəsinin qarşısını almaq üçün cihaz tərəfindən yaradılan bir identifikator gündəlik istifadə sayğacı ilə birlikdə emal olunur. Yalnız sui-istifadədən qorunma məqsədilə istifadə olunur — reklam, profilləmə və ya izləmə üçün deyil.

4. Emalın Hüquqi Əsası (Avropa İttifaqı sakinləri üçün)

Razılıq, müqavilənin icrası və qanuni maraq — hər biri müvafiq funksiyalar üçün. Razılıq istənilən vaxt geri götürülə bilər (bax Bölmə 8).

6. Lokal-Əvvəlcə Prinsipi

İdxal etdiyiniz fayllar (PDF, EPUB, TXT və dəstəklənən digər formatlar) yalnız cihazınızda saxlanılır, serverlərimizə heç vaxt yüklənmir.

Biblyx yalnız istifadəçilərin idxal etdiyi məzmunu idarə etmək və oxumaq imkanı verən proqram vasitəsidir; bu məzmunu təqdim etmir, yaymır, lisenziyalaşdırmır və ya yoxlamır.

7. Verilənlərin Saxlanma Müddəti

Hesab aktiv olduğu müddətcə saxlanılır; silindikdə dərhal və qalıcı silinir (tətbiqdə: Hesab → Hesabımı sil). Gündəlik sui-istifadə sayğacı yalnız təqvim tarixi üzrə qeyd olunur, şəxsi profillə əlaqələndirilmir.

8. Hüquqlarınız

Giriş, düzəliş, silinmə (tətbiqdə Hesab → Hesabımı sil, və ya support@biblyx.com ünvanına yazaraq), portativlik (export), razılığın geri götürülməsi, emala etiraz. Əlaqə: support@biblyx.com. AB sakinləri nəzarət orqanına şikayət edə bilər.

9. Uşaqların Məxfiliyi

Tətbiq 13 yaşından kiçik (ABŞ, COPPA) və ya yaşadığınız ölkədə tətbiq olunan daha yüksək yaşdan kiçik şəxslər üçün nəzərdə tutulmayıb.

10. Təhlükəsizlik

Sənaye standartı texniki tədbirlər tətbiq olunur, 100% zəmanət yoxdur.

11. Dəyişikliklər

Bu siyasət zaman-zaman yenilənə bilər.
